Lessons from RE/MAX

  Explanation of Letters

Think every agent is the same? Tired of seeing all those letters without an explanation? At RE/MAX Commitment, we’re here to assist you, in every aspect of real estate. Teaching you the finer points of the business is simply our way of assisting you one step further!
Let’s see if you have what it takes to remember this new alphabetical hodgepodge of abbreviations. Yup. It’s time to show you what being a Realtor is all about… and it starts with figuring out those crazy letters at the end of my name! Call it the Real Estate Lingo Lesson…Ready to begin? Good. Let’s Get STARTED!

Lesson 1

ABR stands for “Accredited Buyers’ Representative”. Simply put it means I am here for you. The ABR designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. With the valuable real estate education I have learned, my knowledge far surpasses those without this coveted designation. You’d rather be treated by a highly trained physician for that broken leg than the med student, right? In order to earn the ABR designation, I have had ongoing specialized training, attended programs and been updated in a manner in which to assist you by staying on top of the latest trends in the market.
With the ABR, I have access to an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, called REBAC. REBAC is The Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council; a members only marketing tool and resource. To see examples of such tools, visit the following site: rebac.net These tools provide the competitive edge needed in today’s real estate market. It’s a cutthroat world out there; Let an agent who knows the business lead you.
If you’re still reading, then I applaud you for doing your homework. It’s an important decision, buying a new home, and should not be taken lightly. As your potential Agent, it should be just as important to note that not only do I meet the required specifications for this coveted designation, but I exceed them by constantly expanding my education and practical experiences.

Lesson 2

Did you think you were finished with your lesson? Think of it this way… The more designations you have to read about, the more education and experience I have to assist you in your buying and selling endeavors!
You guessed it, more education! The Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation shows my dedication to not only my client-whether you be the buyer or the seller-but also to other real estate industry professionals. It is just another Commitment I have made to provide the highest level of professional service to each of my clients by securing a solid educational foundation. After all, you want to make sure your home is built on the same strong foundation! Only those individuals who attend a specific, intensive series of classroom instruction (with a minimum of 90 grueling hours, I might add!) are able to obtain the GRI designation. These incredible series cover subjects in contract law, professional standards, sales & marketing as well as finance and risk reduction; for superior service and protection.

This concludes your alphabet lesson in Real Estate for today. Stay tuned as I continue my education in an effort to provide you with the utmost professional service available.
